Drunken Poetry

Drunken Poetry is not a therapy session. It is not an exploration of your failed life. It is not another chance for you to express your deep connection with Mother Earth, nor is it a place for you to practice your slam poetry.

Drunken Poetry does not care about these things.

Drunken Poetry is an expression of the beauty in life often overlooked and left behind along with childish things we were told to forget. It is an attempt to find solace amongst the eternally damned who seek turns of phrase beneath the floorboards and secret patterns hiding in the wallpaper. Drunken Poetry is what you make of it, of life and love, and of course the poetry underlying all things.

In life there are three things: love, poetry and wine. Love, or the lack there of, leads to wine and poetry; wine, being beautiful, allows us respite from the banality and terror of life; poetry gives us a voice with which to sing of life and love. But life, being what it is, causes one to drink. Thus there is only wine and poetry and the love of life.

A drink, or three and thee my love.
