This booklet is to help those of us that want to live more in line with our beliefs but get sucked into the “real world” that makes it seem too hard or inconvenient to do the things you want to do. The closest thing to working the land that most of us experienced growing up in suburbia was mowing the grass or walking through thorny shrubs blocking our favorite shortcut out of the apartment complex.
The garden part of the book is also to give people a little bit of basic knowledge to just go out and get a garden started…it’s for beginners, though it may give experienced gardeners some ideas too. So, I want this to help you get started, and show you that you don’t have to live somewhere with acres and acres of land or come from a farming family to grow some free food, and we don’t have to sell ourselves short and give in to the world in order to “grow up” or be part of the “real world.”
