Li Ho Reflux Tour 2003: A Poem
Mark Sargent is a native of Olympia, Washington. He studied Buddhist poetics with Chogyam Trungpa, Allen Ginsberg, Gregory Corso, William S. Burroughs, Philip Whalen, Ed Sanders, Ed Dorn, etc. at the Naropa Institute, Boulder, Colorado in 1975 & 1977. He has lived in Oregon, California and Mexico, among other places, plying his trade as a carpenter, snake oil salesman, street saxophone & combo honk, and bartender. He is a member of the Impossibilists collective and the jazz/poetry band Defenestration, director of the films Ellada, Fire, Behonld and the Wall. He currently resides in Varvosa, a village in the mountains of southern Greece with his partner Mirella and his son Alekos. He bats right, throws left and dances on occasion.
